This case study demonstrates the effectiveness of Loddon Campaspe Legal Centre's Maryborough Family Justice Project (MFVJP)
The project involves a lawyer and a social worker working together across both court and community health settings to support clients with multiple and complex legal, health and social needs – particularly those at risk of criminal charges, family violence or child protection intervention.
In doing so, they are helping address the factors contributing to their clients' legal problems and improving justice and wellbeing outcomes.
The case study compares the MFVJP model with a traditional 'drive in, drive out' outreach model in Echuca, highlighting the resilience and impact of its place-based approach.
