Georgie has taught and researched on law, society and the history of crime at several leading Australian universities, as well as working as a Senior Analyst at the independent Parliamentary Budget Office.

Prior to joining the Legal Services Research Centre, Georgie was Senior Researcher at the Victoria Law Foundation, where she undertook critical quantitative research on legal need and legal capability, and co-led the foundational Measure for Measure project, which examined the application of people-centred justice in Victoria.

Her research has been published in the International Journal for Crime, Justice, and Social Democracy, Law & History as well as edited collections such as History & Crime (2021) and Women’s Criminalisation and Offending in Australia and New Zealand (2020).
